BASIC PC NETWORK SYSTEM TRAINER

BASIC PC NETWORK SYSTEM TRAINER
MODEL : EDT-PCN

Edutech’s Basic PC Network System Trainer is designed for flexibility and simplicity in building LAN Systems. The components are chosen to be fully compatible with most common LAN software. This trainer will provide the students with a good understanding of basic data communication protocols and architecture. Trainer comes complete with all standard components and peripherals for a Network system and provides all necessary modules and parts for building a Wireless media and Twisted Pair Network (100-Base T).

FEATURES:

1. Electronic fault insertion & test points: A unique non-destructive fault insertion and removal
(FIRM) system is built into the trainer for student instructional purposes. This causes malfunctions on
the network system or components which will enable the student to troubleshoot and diagnose the
problems. The faults consist of common faults which occur in modern day networks.

2. MATCHES COMPTIA NET+ CERTIFICATION PROGRAM: The training program follows the
CompTIA Net+ certification requirements and comes with a student experiment manual that contains
special preparation theory text and practical exercises. The Students will learn about the components
that make up a PC Network system, how to test and troubleshoot the components and modules.

3. LATEST TECHNOLOGY: Mantek redesigns the trainers each year so as to bring to our customers the
latest technology and features available. This is very important in order to keep up with the fast pace
changes of ICT technologies.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1. Comparing the advantages, disadvantages and characteristics of the most popular networks.
2. Demonstrating proper techniques for connecting networks using twisted pair cable
(10/100-Base T network) and Wireless Technology media.
3. Install and configure modems and software
4. Using modems for file transfer (send/receive)
5. Connecting telephone line
6. Install and configure typical network and communication software for networking and data transfer
7. Setup and configure a “peer to peer” network also a “client/server” network
8. Setup and configure an Ethernet Network in star configuration using wired and wireless switches
9. Plan layout and configure a network for a specific application.
10. Install and configure hardware
11. Install and configure network interface cards.
12. Install cable and connectors using proper networking tools
